House of Tan Teng Niah

The House of Tan Teng Niah, located in Little India, Singapore, is the last surviving Chinese villa in the area, built in 1900 by businessman Tan Teng Niah for his wife. This unique building features eight rooms, a five-foot way, and a beautifully carved pintu pagar. A gilded name plate with the inscription 'Siew Song' adorns its entrance. Restored in the 1980s, it is now a key highlight on the Little India Heritage Trail, attracting both tourists and researchers interested in Singapore's rich cultural history.
