Philadelphia's Magic Gardens by Isaiah Zagar

Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens is an indoor and outdoor folk-art environment and nonprofit gallery created by artist Isaiah Zagar, covering a half-block with mosaic murals, sculpture, and architectural elements made from tile, mirrors, bottles, and found objects. The site grew over decades from Zagar’s public mosaics on South Street and opened as a dedicated public arts space in 2008. It is widely cited as a major example of community-based mosaic public art in the city.
