Ingram House

Ingram House, located on Bootham in York, England, is a historic almshouse built between 1630 and 1632 by Sir Arthur Ingram for ten widows. Originally known as Ingram's Hospital, it features a striking four-storey central tower and is the most significant mid-17th-century structure in the area. The building has a rich history, having been damaged during the Siege of York and restored in 1649, with notable visitors including Charles I in 1642. Designated as a Grade II* listed building in 1954, it was converted into flats in 1959, making it a unique blend of history and modern living.
