Miyazaki House

The Miyazaki House, located in Lillooet, British Columbia, is a historic site originally built in the 1880s by Caspar Phair. This elegant residence, inspired by Eyrecourt Castle in Ireland, features gardens that once extended to Main Street. After a series of owners, Dr. Masajiro Miyazaki, an osteopath who served as a local doctor and dentist, purchased the house in 1947 following the lifting of property ownership restrictions for Japanese Canadians. In 1983, he donated the house to the community, and it now serves as a venue for local events and art displays. Visitors can explore this Heritage House for free from Tuesday to Saturday, 10 AM to 4 PM.
