Palace Hotel Garden Court

The Palace Hotel reopened in 1909 as a replacement for the original 1875 hotel destroyed in the 1906 earthquake and fire. Its Garden Court dining room features a large glass-domed ceiling, ornate gilded columns, and crystal chandeliers and is a noted example of Beaux-Arts interior design in San Francisco. The hotel has served as a venue for numerous civic events and prominent guests since its reopening.
