White Cloud Lodge

The White Cloud Lodge, located near Perkins, Oklahoma, is a notable historic site designed by architect Elmira Sauberan Smyrl in 1966. Recognized for its Contemporary architectural style, the lodge was originally conceived as a 'school for family living' during Smyrl's thesis project at Oklahoma State University in 1955. This unique thin shell concrete structure was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2010, highlighting its significance in American architectural history. Although it has since been closed and repurposed for storage, the lodge remains an interesting point of interest for tourists and researchers alike.
