Austin–Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA)

Opened on May 23, 1999, Austin–Bergstrom International Airport was converted from the former Bergstrom Air Force Base and became Austin's primary commercial airport. The airport's terminal and runways were built on the former military installation and replaced the city's previous commercial airport at Mueller. ABIA serves as a major passenger gateway for Central Texas and is designated an international airport by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
