Paramount Theatre (historic vaudeville/movie palace)

The Paramount Theatre on Congress Avenue opened in 1915 as a vaudeville and movie palace and is among Austin's oldest surviving theaters. The building underwent major restorations in the 1970s and later decades to preserve its historic auditorium and façade while adapting it for contemporary live performances and film screenings. It remains an active cultural venue housed in an early-20th-century entertainment infrastructure.
