December Nights - Balboa Park holiday festival

December Nights is an annual two-day holiday festival held across Balboa Park that began in 1974 (originally called Christmas on the Prado). The event features free admission to many museums, cultural performances, food vendors, and family programming and routinely draws large local and regional crowds. It is organized by the city and park institutions and functions as a major annual cultural celebration in San Diego.
