Park Flats

The Park Flats, located in the Walnut Hills neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio, is a historic apartment building constructed in 1904. This four-story brick structure showcases a unique blend of architectural styles, combining elements of early 20th-century Neoclassical architecture with features from the Chicago School. Originally developed by Charles Mayer, the building includes innovative designs such as large bay windows and colorful brickwork. In the late 2000s, developer Ed Horgan undertook a restoration project to revitalize the area, which had experienced decline. The Park Flats, now comprising thirty-six apartments, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, highlighting its architectural significance. The surrounding Walnut Hills neighborhood was later designated as the Peeble's Corner Historic District, making it an interesting destination for tourists and researchers alike.
