Metro Central Heights is a striking Grade II listed residential complex located in Walworth, Southwark, London. Originally constructed in the early 1960s as Alexander Fleming House, this modernist architectural marvel was designed by Ernő Goldfinger. Standing at approximately 55 meters tall, the complex features a unique arrangement of three blocks around a central piazza, showcasing flexible design elements that catered to various uses over time. After serving as the headquarters for the Department of Health and Social Security, the building underwent a successful conversion into residential flats in 1997, now housing around 400 units popular among young urban professionals.
