North Oaks Farm

North Oaks Farm, also known as Hill Farm, is a historic open-air museum located in North Oaks, Minnesota, established in 1883 by railroad magnate James J. Hill. Spanning 3,300 acres, the farm features significant buildings, including a Dairy Building that pioneered modern butter-making techniques. Initially a stock farm, it gained acclaim for breeding exceptional beef cattle, with its Aberdeen Angus winning numerous prizes at the Chicago Fat Stock Show. The estate served as a summer retreat for the Hill family, who hosted guests for various outdoor activities.
