Allen-Barringer House

The Allen-Barringer House, a historic home built around 1906, is located approximately 7 miles southwest of West Monroe, Louisiana. Originally situated in Monroe, the house was relocated in 1973 to preserve its structure and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. Featuring Colonial Revival and Queen Anne Revival architectural styles, the house retains significant historical integrity despite the loss of its original chimneys and one Ionic column during the move, making it an interesting site for both tourists and researchers.
