New York Transit Museum (Court Street Station)

The New York Transit Museum is housed in the decommissioned Court Street subway station in Downtown Brooklyn and opened to the public in 1976. The museum preserves and exhibits historic subway and bus equipment, operating vintage train cars on special occasions from its gallery track. Its collections and exhibits document the development of New York City's public transit system from the 19th century to the present.
