Rodin Museum (Benjamin Franklin Parkway)

The Rodin Museum was opened in 1929 to house Jules Mastbaum's collection of Auguste Rodin sculptures in a purpose-built neoclassical building on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The museum contains one of the largest collections of Rodin's work outside Paris, including casts of The Thinker and The Gates of Hell, and represents early-20th-century museum infrastructure designed for sculpture display and preservation. The building and its galleries continue to function as a cultural and conservation facility in Philadelphia's civic arts corridor.
