Boston City Hall and City Hall Plaza

Boston City Hall at 1 City Hall Square, completed in 1968 and designed by Kallmann, McKinnell & Knowles, is a noted example of Brutalist civic architecture and serves as the center of municipal government. The adjacent City Hall Plaza is a large public open space used for civic rallies, the annual First Night celebration, farmers' markets, and other community events.
