Ved Stranden 8

Ved Stranden 8 is a historic Neoclassical building located in central Copenhagen, Denmark, opposite the iconic Christiansborg Palace. Originally established in the late 17th century, the site has a rich history, including ownership by notable figures such as tobacco-maker Johan Bramsted and court sculptor Johann Friedrich Hännel. The current structure was built in 1796-1797 after the devastating Copenhagen Fire of 1795 and features a distinctive architectural design with four floors and a high cellar. Today, it houses the Ministry of Defence, making it a significant landmark for both tourists and researchers interested in Danish history and architecture.
