Glebe of Westover Parish

The Glebe of Westover Parish is a historic house located near Ruthville in Charles City County, Virginia, built around 1745. This 1+1⁄2-story, five-bay brick structure showcases Colonial and Federal architectural styles, featuring an early 19th-century rear ell and a one-story frame wing added in the early 20th century. Originally constructed as a glebe house for Westover Parish, it was sold into private hands following a 1807 legislative act. The property was recognized for its historical significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, making it an intriguing site for tourists and researchers interested in early American history and architecture.
