Rocky Balboa statue at the Philadelphia Museum of Art

The bronze Rocky Balboa statue by sculptor A. Thomas Schomberg was commissioned for the film Rocky III and installed at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in 1980. The statue was moved to the Spectrum in 2006 and returned to the museum's plaza in 2009, where it now stands near the top of the museum's famous steps. The statue and the museum steps have become a popular cultural landmark associated with the Rocky films and city tourism.
