Old South Meeting House

Completed in 1729, the Old South Meeting House was a major gathering place in colonial Boston and is documented as a site where colonists organized protests that contributed to the Boston Tea Party in 1773. The building survived the Revolutionary period and now operates as a museum preserving original 18th-century meeting-house features and exhibits about Boston's revolutionary history. It remains a prominent preserved example of colonial public architecture on the Freedom Trail.
