Carowinds Amusement Park

Carowinds is a major regional amusement park that opened in 1973 and is located on the North Carolina–South Carolina border with a Charlotte mailing address. The park is culturally significant to the region for its large seasonal events such as SCarowinds (Halloween) and WinterFest, and for hosting concerts, festivals, and family entertainment alongside its roller coasters and rides. Carowinds is operated by Cedar Fair and draws visitors from across the Charlotte metropolitan area.
