New Senate Building (Philippines)

The New Senate Building, located in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig, is set to become the new home of the Senate of the Philippines by September 2027. This modern government structure, designed by AECOM, features a unique architectural style inspired by the Philippine flag and cultural elements like the Banaue Rice Terraces. The building will significantly enhance the Senate's facilities, increasing the number of lawmakers' rooms from twenty-four to sixty-four. Construction began in 2019, but has faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and budget concerns. The building is expected to symbolize a new era for the Philippine Senate, moving from its long-term rental at the GSIS Building to a dedicated space that reflects the nation's heritage and aspirations.
