Plymouth Place

Plymouth Place is a notable historic building in Des Moines, Iowa, completed in 1968. Designed by architect Raymond Hueholt, this 12-story circular structure features a unique interior layout with a central living room surrounded by individual living units. It is recognized for its role in providing affordable senior housing to low-income residents, regardless of their background. Although initially deemed a non-contributing property to the Greenwood Park Plats Historic District, it was individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015, highlighting its architectural and social significance.
