The Pittsburgh Terminal Properties, located on the South Side of Pittsburgh, is a historic warehouse complex designed by Charles Bickel and built between 1904 and 1906. Originally serving as a central hub for road, river, and rail transport, it features impressive early 1900s architecture and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013. The building has a rich history, including storage for military supplies during World War II, and has been repurposed into modern office spaces and retail areas. Currently undergoing transformation into The Highline, it will offer creative office spaces, a public fitness center, and green areas for events, making it an intriguing destination for tourists and researchers alike.
