Wheeler-Harrington House

The Wheeler-Harrington House, located at 249 Harrington Avenue in Concord, Massachusetts, is a historic timber-frame house believed to have been built around 1742. As the oldest known building in West Concord, it has a rich history, remaining within the Wheeler family until 1827 before being sold to Joseph Harrington, Jr. The property was maintained by his daughter, Lucy Harrington, for thirty years and later became a horse farm under the LeBallister family for fifty years. In 1974, the town acquired the house and surrounding farmland, restoring it with the help of volunteers. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in early American history.
