Phineas Upham House

The Phineas Upham House, located at 255 Upham Street in Melrose, Massachusetts, is a historic house built in the early 18th century, showcasing First Period architecture. This well-preserved timber-frame structure features an irregular window arrangement and a unique saltbox appearance. Originally constructed for Phineas Upham's son Amos, it has a rich history and remained in the Upham family until the early 20th century. Now owned by the Upham Family Association, the house is occasionally open to the public, offering a glimpse into colonial life and architecture. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
