Serbian Home

The Serbian Home, a historic two-story brick building in South Saint Paul, Minnesota, was established in 1924 as a cultural hub for Serbian immigrants in the meatpacking industry. It served as a venue for weddings, social events, and religious services until the 1953 opening of a nearby Serbian Orthodox Church. Over the years, it hosted various ethnic groups, including Romanians, Croatians, and Poles. After facing decline and financial issues, it was transformed into the Serbian Cultural and History Center in 1996, showcasing artifacts and documents of Serbian and immigrant history. In 2018, new ownership revitalized the venue, allowing it to operate as an event space and cultural center, making it a potential point of interest for tourists and researchers exploring immigrant heritage in the region.
