David Leedom Farm, also known as 'Pleasant Retreat,' is a historic site located in Newtown Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. This remarkable property showcases a house built in four stages, with origins dating back to the late 18th century. Visitors can explore the unique architectural features, including a one-story stone structure, a large 2 1/2-story stone addition, and a three-story mansion section added in 1802. The interior boasts a stunning three-story staircase and a series of piazzas. The farm also includes various historic farm-related buildings and was immortalized in paintings by the renowned artist Edward Hicks. Recognized for its historical significance, the farm was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976, making it a fascinating destination for tourists and researchers alike.
