Bohemia Farm, also known as Milligan Hall, is a historic Georgian-style home located on the picturesque Bohemia River in Earleville, Maryland. Built around 1743, this five-bay brick structure features a unique 19th-century gambrel-roof wing and boasts exquisite Rococo plasterwork and a stunning 'Chinese Chippendale' staircase. The estate was founded by Augustine Herman, a Bohemian cartographer, and was once a part-time residence of Louis McLane. Notably, the property has historical ties to the Labadist faith, a Pietist sect that attempted to establish a communal colony in the late 17th century. Bohemia Farm was recognized for its historical significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, making it an intriguing destination for tourists and researchers alike.
