PSFS Building (International Style skyscraper)

The PSFS Building, completed in 1932 and designed by George Howe and William Lescaze, is widely regarded as the first International Style skyscraper in the United States. It was built to house the Philadelphia Saving Fund Society and its rooftop PSFS signage became a prominent Center City landmark. The tower's modernist design marked a departure from historicist skyscraper styles of the early 20th century and influenced later commercial architecture in Philadelphia.
