Valley Falls Mill

The Valley Falls Mill is a historic textile mill complex located in Central Falls, Rhode Island, featuring a striking Italianate brick building from 1849. This site includes several outbuildings, a dam on the Blackstone River, and remnants of the original canal system that powered the mill. Visitors can explore the gatehouse, a retail office, and a historic bathhouse from the 1870s. Although a second mill building was lost to fire, the main structure has been repurposed for housing, preserving its historical significance. The complex was recognized on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978, making it an interesting destination for tourists and researchers alike.
