Alley Theatre (historic professional resident theatre)

The Alley Theatre is a professional resident theatre in downtown Houston founded in 1947 by Nina Vance and operating continuous theatrical seasons since that time. The company produces a mix of classic, modern, and newly commissioned plays across its downtown stages and has been a central institution in Houston's performing-arts scene for decades. The Alley occupies theater facilities in the Houston Theater District and presents local and nationally touring productions.
