Sutro Baths ruins / Lands End

The Sutro Baths ruins at Lands End are the remains of a large public bathhouse complex that burned in 1966 and now form a dramatic rocky shoreline ruin site. Photographs of the concrete ruins and coastal views at Lands End are widely circulated in travel photography and are often repurposed in memes emphasizing desolation, dramatic landscapes, or cinematic backdrops. The Lands End Lookout visitor center near the site provides historical interpretation and trail access. The area is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
