Kulttuurikasarmi

Kulttuurikasarmi, or 'Culture Barracks', is a vibrant entertainment and event center located in Kamppi, Helsinki, Finland. Opened on November 17, 2023, it is housed in a historic building that dates back to the 1830s and once served as Helsinki's central bus station until 2005. The center features a modern glass extension with a restaurant and bar, alongside three cinema auditoriums. The renovation, costing approximately 35 million euros, was spearheaded by the Finland-Swedish Konstsamfundet foundation and designed by Arkkitehtitoimisto Sarc. Visitors can explore the rich history of the site, which includes its past as a military barracks and its transformation into a cultural hub, making it a unique destination for both tourists and researchers interested in Finnish history and contemporary culture.
