Old Stone House (Georgetown, circa 1765)

Built around 1765, the Old Stone House is the oldest unchanged building standing in Washington, D.C., and represents mid-18th-century vernacular masonry residential architecture. The three-story fieldstone townhouse retains large amounts of original fabric and interior details. Now owned and operated by the National Park Service, it is interpreted as a historic house museum within the Georgetown Historic District.
