Kaapelitehdas

Kaapelitehdas, or the Cable Factory, is a vibrant cultural centre located in Helsinki, Finland, originally built as a cable factory between 1939 and 1954. After ceasing production in 1987, the city transformed the site into a hub for creativity and culture, housing artist studios, three museums, and a variety of events including concerts, exhibitions, and festivals. Visitors can explore the Finnish Museum of Photography, the Theatre Museum, and the Hotel and Restaurant Museum, as well as enjoy dining at the popular restaurant Hima & Sali. Kaapelitehdas is also part of the Trans Europe Halles network, promoting independent cultural centres across Europe.
