Menil Collection

The Menil Collection is a museum founded by John and Dominique de Menil that displays their private collection of modern and antiquities works in a campus of buildings. The campus includes the Cy Twombly Gallery and is noted for its emphasis on quiet, low-lit display spaces and site-specific architecture. The Menil also operates the nearby Rothko Chapel in partnership with the de Menil foundation. The institution is a major center for modern and contemporary art in Houston.
