Galerías Pacífico is a historic shopping mall located in Buenos Aires, Argentina, at the bustling intersection of Florida Street and Córdoba Avenue. Housed in a stunning Beaux Arts building designed in 1889, it originally served as a department store inspired by Paris's Le Bon Marché. Over the years, parts of the building have been repurposed, including a section that became the first home of the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes. Notably, the building has a dark history, as an abandoned torture center was discovered in its basement, linked to the country's Dirty War. Today, Galerías Pacífico is a vibrant shopping destination, blending history with modern retail experiences.
