Eugene Dorflinger Estate

The Eugene Dorflinger Estate, located in Texas Township, Wayne County, Pennsylvania, is a historic home built in 1865, showcasing Victorian architecture with intricate gingerbread trim. The estate includes several notable structures such as a museum building, carriage house, photography studio, wash house, outhouse, and gazebo, remnants of the once-thriving Dorflinger Glass Works. Today, it is part of the Dorflinger-Suydam Wildlife Sanctuary, which spans nearly 600 acres and offers about 5 miles of scenic trails. Visitors can also explore the Dorflinger Glass Museum, housing over 900 exquisite pieces of cut lead crystal. The estate was recognized for its historical significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
