Muliaage

Muliaage is the official residence of the president of the Maldives, located in the historic center of Malé. Built between 1914 and 1919 for Crown Prince Hassan Izzuddin, it showcases colonial bungalow architecture and is situated near significant landmarks like the Malé Friday Mosque. The palace has a rich history, having served various political roles, including as the Presidential Palace and the Prime Minister's Office. Notable guests have included Queen Elizabeth II and Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Today, Muliaage stands as a symbol of Maldivian heritage and political history, with the adjacent Medhu Ziyaaraiy housing the tomb of the nation's Islamic founder.
