Edsberg Castle

Edsberg Castle, located in Sollentuna Municipality near Stockholm, Sweden, is a historic manor house built around 1630. Originally an estate for Henrik Olofsson, it became a manor in 1647 under Count Gabriel Bengtsson Oxenstierna. The castle has hosted notable visitors, including Queen Christina of Sweden and King Charles XI. The current stone structure, designed in a simplified French rococo style, was completed in 1760 by Thure Gustaf Rudbeck. Today, Edsberg Castle is home to the Edsbergs Musikinstitut, where students from the Royal College of Music study, and Edsvik Konsthall, an art gallery. The estate also hosts various outdoor festivals during the summer, making it a vibrant cultural hub for both tourists and researchers.
