MLC Building, North Sydney

The MLC Building is a significant modernist skyscraper located in North Sydney, Australia, completed in 1957. Designed by Bates, Smart & McCutcheon, it was the first high-rise office block in the area and introduced innovative architectural features such as curtain wall design and modular units. With 42,000 square meters of office space, it served as the headquarters for the Mutual Life & Citizens Assurance Company Limited. The building is recognized for its cultural and historical importance, having been listed on the New South Wales State Heritage Register and awarded the New South Wales Enduring Architecture Award.
