Canal House

Canal House, located in Connersville, Indiana, is a historic building constructed in 1842 in the Greek Revival style. Originally built as quarters for the canal custodian and headquarters for the Whitewater Valley Canal Company, it features elegant Doric order fluted pillars and a pedimented front. Over the years, it has served various purposes, including a bank and a residence for Congressman Finly Hutchinson Gray and his wife. Today, it operates as a local history museum and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, making it a notable site for tourists and researchers interested in local heritage.
