Vænget

Vænget is a historic building located in Sorø, Denmark, originally constructed in 1902 as a residence for the local magistrate. It later became a dormitory for Sorø Academy, housing students and staff until its decommissioning in 1973. Today, it serves as administrative offices and features Hauch's Physical Cabinet, a fascinating exhibition of scientific instruments from before 1800, collected by scientist Adam Wilhelm Hauch. This unique collection, donated to the academy in 1827, offers visitors a glimpse into the history of science. Vænget also gained cultural significance as a filming location for the 1995 movie 'Kun en pige'.
