Bekal Fort

Bekal Fort, located in Kerala, India, is a historic medieval fort built in 1650 AD by Shivappa Nayaka of Keladi. Spanning over 40 acres and surrounded by water on three sides, it features a water tank, magazine, and an observation tower offering stunning views of the coastline. The fort's strategic design includes a zigzag entrance and defensive holes for repelling naval attacks. Historically significant, Bekal served as a military station for Tipu Sultan and was later controlled by the British East India Company.
