Edgar Allan Poe's Poe Cottage

Edgar Allan Poe lived in Poe Cottage in the Bronx from 1846 until 1849, during the final years of his life. The small wood-frame house is preserved as Poe Cottage within Poe Park and is interpreted as the poet's last New York residence. The site contains period furnishings and exhibits about Poe's life and literary career.
