Malatestiana Library

The Malatestiana Library, located in Cesena, Italy, is a historic public library established between 1447 and 1452, making it the first civic library in Europe. Commissioned by Malatesta Novello, it features a stunning early Renaissance design with a basilica-like layout, vaulted ceilings, and beautifully carved wooden furnishings. The library houses a rich collection of manuscripts, including Greek texts and illuminated law books, and has preserved its original structure and decor for over 550 years.
