Heard Museum (Native American ceremonial art and hoop dance)

The Heard Museum is dedicated to the art and cultures of Native peoples of the Americas and maintains extensive collections of ceremonial objects and regalia. The museum presents educational programming about Indigenous ritual practices and stages public performances and demonstrations of traditional dance. The Heard Museum also hosts the annual World Championship Hoop Dance Contest in Phoenix, an event drawing dancers from many tribes.
