Fantasia Bath

Fantasia Bath, established in 1896 in Baku, Azerbaijan, is a historic bathhouse renowned for being the first commercial building in the city with an electric line. Designed by architect Nikolaus von der Nonne, it features luxurious marble interiors, a unique tea hall, and was a social hub with live music and reading materials. After various uses during the Soviet era, it was restored and recognized as a cultural monument in 2001. Despite its historical significance, the bathhouse has faced neglect and threats of demolition, sparking public interest and preservation efforts. The site has also inspired cultural festivals and commemorative stamps, highlighting its importance in Baku's heritage.
