Salisbury Infirmary

The Salisbury Infirmary, operational from 1767 to 1993 in Salisbury, Wiltshire, was established with a significant donation from the first Lord Feversham. Designed by John Wood, the Younger of Bath, the hospital featured a prominent red-brick building with over 100 beds and various wards named after benefactors. It became part of the National Health Service in 1948 and was known for its historical significance, including the death of musician Phil Lynott in 1986. After its closure, the site was redeveloped for residential use in 1997, preserving its architectural heritage.
